This activity consists of educational opportunities which serve to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients at Legacy Community Health. As a result of changes both in medicine and society, opportunities are needed to better understand growth in scientific knowledge, the expansion in the availability and efficacy of medical technologies, new organizational arrangements in the provision of services, and increased pressure to contain costs.
- Design treatment plans that prioritize the principles of medical ethics during the decision-making process, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply ethical principles in providing care to under-resourced populations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous personal learning and development to improve the quality of patient care, and fulfill requirements for maintaining licensure/professional certification.
