Target Audience

Needs Statement

The Multidisciplinary Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Conference addresses key educational needs by focusing on expanding knowledge, enhancing competence, and improving performance of specialist physicians and fellow trainees. It provides comprehensive insights into the complexities of ILDs and the latest diagnostic and management strategies, enriched by multidisciplinary expert engagement from pulmonology, radiology, pathology, and rheumatology. The series fosters effective collaboration, refining participants' skills through case discussions and expert recommendations. By establishing a standard of care that emphasizes timely, accurate diagnoses and effective management plans, the series aims to improve clinical performance and patient outcomes.

The Multidisciplinary Interstitial Lung Disease Conference also helps to draw ILD patients to tertiary ILD centers that specialize in ILD management and lung transplant from community providers. Multidisciplinary discussions can improve knowledge of ILD diagnosis and management for general pulmonologists and trainees..

Educational Methods

Educational methods will include case presentations, literature review, and panel discussion.

Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

• Engage with experts across pulmonology, radiology, pathology, and rheumatology to broaden knowledge base.
• Integrate diverse perspectives into clinical practice through case discussions and expert recommendations.
