Target Audience and Needs
Physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in pediatric care need regular updates on advances in clinical practice and research pertaining to the diagnosis and management of patients with pediatric illnesses. The aim of this series is to develop both the basic skills for caring for infants, children, and adolescents, as well as to appreciate the influence of growth and development on diagnosis and management of illness.
Educational Methods
Educational methods will include lectures and case presentations.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:
- Develop comprehensive care plans for children and families based on the latest advances in pediatric care management.
- Describe state-of-the-art procedures in the treatment of infants, children, and adolescents.
- Identify resources and personnel available to improve the provision of quality care for the pediatric patient.
Evaluation
Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
