Target Audience and Needs

Internal Medicine faculty, staff, registered nurses, residents, fellows, students, and internists specializing in Allergy & Immunology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Medicine, Geriatrics, Hematology & Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Palliative Care, Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, and Rheumatology need to be regularly updated with new research and guidelines regarding the evaluation and management of medical disorders and implement them in clinical practice to enhance the quality of patient care and improve patient outcomes.

Educational Methods

Educational methods will include lectures, case presentations, literature review, and panel discussion.

Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Summarize guidelines and latest evidence for the evaluation of various diseases.
  • Discuss how epidemiology impacts management and treatment of diseases in clinical practice.
  • Describe the latest advances and current challenges for disease management.
Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
