Target Audience and Needs
Attending physicians, residents, fellows, students, and community physicians in neonatology, radiology, maternal fetal medicine, pediatric surgery, genetics, and other pediatric subspecialties need to be regularly updated on the advances in the evaluation, management, and multidisciplinary care of the fetus to improve outcomes.
Educational Methods
Educational methods will include case presentations, literature review, and panel discussion.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:
- Outline the advances in ultrasound technology and implement them in practice to improve the assessment of the fetus in the antenatal period.
- Summarize the role of MRI as an adjunct in the evaluation of fetal abnormalities.
- Incorporate advances in imaging and multidisciplinary care in perinatal management.
- Provide multi-disciplinary perinatal care for fetal anomalies and utilize case reviews to continually identify strategies to improve health care processes and patient care.
Evaluation
Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
