Target Audience and Needs
Physicians, residents, fellows, and community physicians and other healthcare professionals need to be regularly updated on advances in gastroenterology. The aim of the series is to review emerging diagnostic and treatment tools for managing gastrointestinal disorders.
Educational Methods
Educational methods will include lectures and case presentations.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:
- Maintain and increase knowledge of advances in gastroenterology to develop new clinical skills.
- Evaluate case series according to evidence-based guidelines in gastroenterology.
- Implement evidence-based guidelines to advance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes.
- Stratify risks and benefits of anticoagulation for all patients, establish a template for recommendations, and implement this strategy prior to discharge from the endoscopy suite.
Evaluation
Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
