Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be able to:
- Review current terminology, statistics, and trends related to youth suicide.
- Identify key risk and protective factors associated with adolescent suicide.
- Apply standardized suicide risk assessment tools to evaluate suicide risk.
- Differentiate levels of suicide risk and determine appropriate immediate safety interventions.
- Describe the purpose and clinical application of the SAFE-T framework and the SAFETY-A intervention.
