Learning Objective

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

• Identify the histologic, anatomic, and neurological mechanisms of medical acupuncture  
• Recognize the classification of premorbid disease states and specify methods to treat them
• Determine that acupuncture, specifically, battlefield auricular acupuncture, is an appropriate response to cases of recalcitrant pain and the opioid epidemic
