National Abstract Competition Award Winners and Presenters (January 6, 2023)

Needs Statement

Physicians and advanced practice providers in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and other medical specialties need to receive regular updates on clinical best practices. Newly published, clinically relevant, evidence-based, peer-reviewed research articles will be used as an impetus for discussion. The series aims to accelerate the practice of evidence-based medicine across the physician enterprise to expand clinical knowledge, enhance the quality of care, and improve patient outcomes. The series also aims to disseminate disease-specific clinical best practices and to encourage networking and collaboration within and across medical specialties.

Target Audience

Physicians, fellows, residents, and other healthcare providers.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the session, the participants should be able to:

  • Identify the best practices and latest clinical updates reported in three published articles presented.

  • Integrate strategies to improve collaboration across the continuum of care and incorporate the best practices into the clinic setting.

  • Recognize the importance of reviewing and discussing new clinical evidence in the context of improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
