NEEDS STATEMENT
Significant gaps persist in the multidisciplinary management of patients with diabetic foot ulcers and chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI), where variability in clinician awareness and application of evolving evidence-based guidelines contributes to inconsistent care and suboptimal patient outcomes.
Despite advances across vascular surgery, endovascular intervention, wound care, podiatry, and diabetology, clinicians may lack the knowledge and competence to effectively integrate current best practices and appropriately sequence interventions within a coordinated care model. Additionally, challenges in interdisciplinary communication and collaboration further contribute to fragmented care delivery and delays in treatment.
This activity is designed to address these gaps by equipping healthcare professionals with the latest evidence-based strategies, enhancing clinical decision-making, and strengthening team-based approaches to optimize limb salvage outcomes and improve patient care.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Physicians, Surgeons, Podiatrists, APPs
