Advances in Teaching and Learning Day 2021
Overview
Advances in Teaching and Learning Day is a one-day conference for faculty to engage in conversations related to effective health education. This year, the conference will focus on the topic of “Creating Interactive Health Education Teaching”. The plenary speaker will discuss strategies for faculty to enhance learner engagement. During the workshop, the keynote speaker will share interactive teaching strategies and demonstrate the strategies by incorporating interactive activities in small groups.
Target Audience
Faculty, staff, and students of The University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston McGovern School of Medicine, Cizik School of Nursing, School of Dentistry, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Identify potential collaborators for interdisciplinary educational programs
- Use interactive teaching strategies to engage learners in healthcare education
