2023 Evaluation and Management Guideline Education

NEEDS STATEMENT

Physicians, Physicians Assistants and Advanced Nurse Practitioners need to be educated on changes made to the evaluation and management guidelines by the American Medical Association (AMA) that will go into effect January 1, 2023. Evaluation and management services are the bulk of services provided by these providers in many different types of facilities. This education is designed to educate the providers on the changes to the guidelines and provide examples to help with the implementation of these changes.

Physicians, Physicians Assistants and Advanced Nurse Practitioners

 

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize the new AMA evaluation and management guidelines.
  • Apply the AMA guidelines to documentation and billing.
  • Identify how the AMA guideline changes affect clinical processes for these services.

EVALUATION

Evaluation by questionnaire will address program content, presentation, and possible bias.
