Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be able to:

  • Communicate effectively with families about autism spectrum disorder (ASD) concerns and outline appropriate, evidence‑based immediate next steps, including screening, referral, and follow‑up actions.
  • Evaluate evidence from systematic reviews and controlled medication studies to guide the safe and effective use of psychotropic medications for managing disruptive behaviors in individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Analyze clinical case scenarios to identify key diagnostic considerations, management options, and evidence‑based decision‑making strategies relevant for ASD care
