Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be able to:

  • Learn to differentiate the 5 categories of Eating Disorders (EDs).
  • Define the clinical symptoms of each of the different EDs.
  • Discuss the assessment and diagnosis process
  • Identify the four varying levels of care
  • Discuss therapeutic interventions: psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy
  • Discuss and demonstrate the psychoeducation for patients and caretakers
