Target Audience and Needs

Physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, nurses, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals who specialize in neonatal care need to receive regular updates on topics that foster their professional development as providers and clinical educators.  The aim of the series is to provide the structure and resources needed to permit learners to keep pace with the evolution of neonatal medicine and clinical instruction, while also developing the skills needed to navigate their professional career journey.  The series will expand its educational scope beyond day-to-day clinical practice to improve teaching skills, implement novel feedback methods, and discuss AI innovations that enhance learning and neonatal care.


Educational Methods

Educational methods will include lectures, case presentations, literature review, and panel discussion.


Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Apply innovative teaching methods in clinical and didactic settings to enhance the educational impact on learners..
  • Identify strategies that promote continuous professional growth as a clinician-educator and incorporate them into a progressive action plan..
  • Analyze educational research within the neonatology field.
Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
