Target Audience and Needs

Radiologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, fellows, residents, medical students, advanced practice providers, and healthcare providers in related disciplines require regular updates on research advances in the evidence-based treatment of complex cerebrovascular disorders.  This series aims to expand the knowledge of learners, augment their diagnostic and clinical skills, enhance the quality of neurological and neurosurgical care, promote early detection of treatment complications, and improve physician-to-physician communication to optimize patient outcomes.


Educational Methods

Educational methods will include lectures, case presentations, and literature review.


Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Review the natural history and clinical characteristics of complex cerebrovascular disorders.
  • Diagnose complex cerebrovascular disorders and prepare evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Manage treatment-related complications of complex cerebrovascular disorders.
  • Improve communication between neurosurgeons and ICU physicians to optimize postoperative care of patients with cerebrovascular disorders.

Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
