Target Audience and Needs
Primary care physicians, fellows, residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other primary care providers need to receive regular updates on patient-centered practices, advances in telemedicine, and innovative approaches to healthcare delivery in safety net settings. The series aims to expand the knowledge of learners, advance their clinical skills and competencies, enhance the quality of primary care in community settings, and improve patient outcomes.
Educational Methods
Educational methods will include lectures, case presentations, and panel discussion.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:
- Acquire the knowledge and skills needed to deepen the focus on improved health outcomes and health equity in primary care.
- Identify and apply validated screens to advance patient-centered preventive care practices.
- Review new strategies to improve healthcare in safety net settings.
- Adopt newer standards for technologies and telehealth practices to increase access to different communities.
Evaluation
Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
