Target Audience and Needs
Faculty, fellows, and medical students involved in the practice of Nephrology need regular updates on research and advances in the field of Nephrology. This series focuses on developing concepts of critical thinking related to evaluation of research literature by providing a platform for communication between peers and individuals of related disciplines, with the ultimate goal of application to practice in order to improve quality and quantity of life with emphasis on improving and preserving physical, social, psychological and functional domains of healthy living.
Educational Methods
Educational methods will include lectures, case presentations, literature review, and panel discussion.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:
- Critically evaluate and compare concepts in Nephrology research literature.
- Discuss how advances in Nephrology medicine can improve quality of life for patients.
- Assess and apply new information relevant to the daily practice of Nephrology.
Evaluation
Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
