Target Audience and Needs
Physicians, trainees, residents, fellows, researchers, health professionals, and community physiatrists need to be regularly updated with advances in physical medicine and rehabilitation research and clinical care and implement multidisciplinary care in clinical practice to enhance the quality of patient care and improve patient outcomes.
Educational Methods
Educational methods will include lectures.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:
- Discuss advances in physical medicine and rehabilitation clinical care, research, and education and incorporate them into clinical practice.
- Identify and implement opportunities to engage in self-care and improve the healthcare experience of patients.
- Recognize the complexity of identifying and managing physical and psychosocial symptoms affecting patient quality of life.
- Utilize a multidisciplinary approach to patient care through increased awareness of the unique contributions of diverse health professionals.
Evaluation
Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
