Target Audience and Needs

Physicians, genetic counselors, medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals need to be regularly updated on new technologies and guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases in clinical practice to improve the delivery of patient care.


Educational Methods

Educational methods will include case presentations and literature review.


Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the genetic conditions discussed by adding them to their differential diagnosis in daily clinical practice.
  • Incorporate current recommendations and guidelines into daily clinical practice.
  • Implement new technologies and treatments into daily clinical practice.

Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
