Target Audience and Needs

Physicians, genetic counselors, medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals need to be regularly updated on new technologies and guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases in clinical practice to improve the delivery of patient care.


Educational Methods

Educational methods will include case presentations and literature review.


Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Expand knowledge of genetic conditions not otherwise considered in a differential diagnosis.
  • Assess current recommendations and guidelines for treating genetic conditions.
  • Implement new diagnostic technologies and treatments for patients with genetic conditions.

Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
