Target Audience and Needs

Pathologists, radiologists, researchers and other healthcare providers need to be regularly updated on advances in the diagnosis and treatment of central nervous system tumors. The tumor board aims to increase knowledge of the learners in these topic areas, and encourages learners to implement the advances and guidelines in clinical practice to enhance the quality of patient care and outcomes.


Educational Methods

Educational methods will include case presentations and panel discussions.


Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Deliver effective healthcare and stay current on advances in diagnosis and treatment approaches for central nervous system (CNS) tumors, as well as research findings.
  • Discuss the benefits and limitations of the current medical and surgical treatment strategies for CNS tumors.
  • Analyze and interpret the pathology of CNS tumors, the results of radiographic imaging, and other data that are essential to each case.

Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
