Target Audience and Needs

Physicians, residents, fellows, and community physicians need to be regularly updated with clinical guidelines, technological innovations, and health system QI process changes in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery so they can implement them in clinical practice to enhance the quality of care and improve patient outcomes.


Educational Methods

Educational methods will include lectures, case presentations, and panel discussion.


Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Recognize and implement evidence-based guidelines in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of technological innovations in cardiothoracic and endovascular surgery (e.g., arthrectomy devices for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease).
  • Implement health system QI processes.

Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
