Needs Statement
There is a critical need for faculty and Advanced Practice Providers in Pediatric Emergency Medicine to strengthen their knowledge and competence in understanding divisional strategic priorities, applying accurate PEM billing practices, preventing common documentation and coding errors, navigating institutional promotion criteria, utilizing effective mentoring methods, and integrating recent high‑impact pediatric emergency literature into clinical decision‑making. Current practice gaps reveal insufficient familiarity with how faculty roles align with strategic pillars, variability in billing accuracy, limited clarity regarding advancement expectations, inconsistent use of mentoring frameworks, and underutilization of emerging research to inform care. This session directly addresses these gaps by equipping participants with structured guidance, updated evidence, and practical tools to enhance their clinical effectiveness, academic development, and overall performance within Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
