Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be able to:

  • Identify key features of pediatric bipolar disorder, including mania, hypomania, and mixed presentations
  • Differentiate bipolar disorder from common morbidities (e.g., ADHD, DMDD, PTSD substance-induced symptoms, personality-related patterns)
  • Apply evidence-based treatments, including appropriate medication considerations, psychoeducation, and when to refer or consult
