Target Audience
This activity is designed for inpatient healthcare providers.
Needs Statement
Hospitalists require targeted education on current regulations, documentation standards, and best practices for inpatient care coordination. There is also a need to foster understanding of system-level engagement, including the role of physician advisors and patient advisors in improving outcomes. This underscores the importance of integrating patient perspectives into care planning and quality improvement efforts. This series will provide updates on healthcare policies, equip providers with strategies to enhance the efficiency of care delivery, and identify approaches best suited to the inpatient diagnosis and treatment of specific diseases and medical conditions.
Educational Methods
Educational methods will include lectures, panel discussion, and audience response.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:
- Analyze the regulations and policies influencing inpatient care.
- Summarize best practices for appropriate utilization of care during hospitalization.
- Develop strategies to optimize patient throughput and enhance financial reimbursement.
Evaluation
Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
