Framing Health: Decolonizing Methodologies
Needs Statement
Physicians, fellows, residents, medical students and other healthcare providers and trainees across medical specialties encounter health equity issues. The series serves as a forum to discuss these issues by covering select topics such as health disparities, social determinants of health, cultural sensitivities, linguistic competencies, and social justice. It aims to broaden the awareness of learners in these topic areas and provide strategies to address health equity issues as they arise.

Physicians, residents, fellows, medical students, and other healthcare providers.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
Analyze historical and contemporary problems and debates among the interdisciplinary fields contributing to health equity.
Critique ontologies, epistemologies, methodologies, and approaches for community health research.
Systematically review philosophies of science and decision-making in research, theory, application, and praxis.
