Virtual Alumni Reunion and Awards Program

Needs Statement
The Alumni Reunion includes a variety of topics to illuminate the experiences that have brought each attendee to this point in their clinical practice in a way that can be shared in order to enhance the practice of attendees as they continue their journey in clinical practice. Participants will learn from Baylor faculty, alumni and experts about the best practices in research, clinical, education and community.


Target Audience
This activity is designed for alumni from the School of Medicine, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and the School of Health Professions.


Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:
• Describe the benefits and downsides of altruism, self-sacrifice, perfectionism in medicine and impact on career trajectories
• Discuss the challenges in clinical translation of genomics
• Summarize how human systems are affected during space travel
• Recognize the role of the healthcare provider as an advocate for vulnerable populations

Evaluation
Evaluation by questionnaire will address program content, presentation, and possible bias.
