Addressing Racism in Medical Education – Everyone Matters, Everyone Counts
Physicians, residents, fellows, medical students and other healthcare providers across practice areas encounter health care equity issues such as health disparities, social determinants of health, cultural/linguistic competencies, and social justice. The series aims to broaden the awareness of learners in these topic areas provide strategies to address these issues as they arise.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
Describe the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School curriculum-wide goals and objectives and how they led to the Health Equity and Social Justice longitudinal educational program.
Demonstrate how the Health Equity and Social Justice program responds to racism, privilege, social justice, bias, and historical context.
Construct bias education for faculty, residents, and students.
Implement anti-racism ideology throughout medical education.
