Needs StatementThe opioid use epidemic has been on the forefront of societal concerns in the US. With the DEA-MATE act, all providers have to be able to adeptly prescribe and manage Opioid Use Disorder and related issues, which have proliferated. Treating teams face multiple challenges including need to treat chronic pain, overprescription of opioids and need for effective alternatives, and illicit use of opioids. The focus of this conference is pharmacological, psychotherapeutic treatments of OUD along with overviews of impact on families and children.

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education has declared feedback to be an “essential and required” part of training. Effective feedback can be particularly challenging to establish within the emergency department (ED) setting. Providing quality feedback is one of our top goals for improvement over the next year.
