Overview

Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Providers (CV APP) need to be regularly educated about guideline-based therapies that are routinely updated in this specialty. The CV APP Bootcamp aims to fulfill the needs of CV APPs through didactic educational experiences, interactive case studies, and clinical immersion hands on experiences that further clinical and professional development and engagements for CV APPs at CommonSpirit Health. The topics in this series will include progressively complex topics and interactive experiences to broaden the knowledge, competence, and performance of CV APPs.

Target Audience and Needs

This training is for CommonSpirit Health CV APPs.


Educational Methods

Educational methods will include lecture, case study, simulation and skill-based training workshops. 


Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Apply evidence-based guidelines to patients with hypertension.
  • Classify heart failure patients accurately according to symptoms and diagnostic results.
  • Identify and diagnose aortic conditions, including aneurysm, dissection, and intramural hematoma.
  • Develop a treatment plan and refer patients with aortic conditions as necessary.

Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
