Target Audience and Needs
Community health faculty need to receive regular updates on emerging concepts in medical education. The series aims to expand their role as clinician-educators by promoting current best practices in medical education within the clinical environment and engagement in faculty scholarship. The series will focus specifically on improvements in teaching skills, curriculum design, and student evaluation.
Educational Methods
Educational methods will include lectures.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:
- Describe the role of the clinician-educator in medical education..
- Develop strategies to integrate emerging concepts in medical education into the community health setting.
- Apply methods to improve teaching skills, develop educational content, design curricula, and evaluate medical student performance.
- Engage in research or scholarship related to medical education within the clinical environment.
Evaluation
Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
