Target Audience and Needs

Physicians and advanced practice providers in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and other medical specialties need to receive regular updates on clinical best practices.  Newly published, clinically relevant, evidence-based, peer-reviewed research articles will be used as an impetus for discussion.  The series aims is to accelerate the practice of evidence-based medicine across the physician enterprise to expand clinical knowledge, enhance the quality of care, and improve patient outcomes.  The series also aims to disseminate disease-specific clinical best practices and to encourage networking and collaboration within and across medical specialties.

Educational Methods

Educational methods will include panel discussion.

At the conclusion of the session, the participants should be able to:

  • Establish a CommonSpirit Standard of Care by prioritizing clinical areas that have high visibility, variation in practice, high patient volume, and value.
  • Enhance clinical practice for providers across CommonSpirit Health by identifying high-priority medical conditions for which there are published evidence-based recommendations or guidelines for treatment and management.
  • Promote opportunities for collaboration and networking between physicians in CommonSpirit Health Clinical Institutes and Divisions to achieve adoption of the Standard of Care.
  • Develop strategies to integrate evolving clinical knowledge into everyday practice.
