Target Audience and Needs

Nephrologists, nephrology fellows and residents, medical students, healthcare providers in related disciplines, and kidney researchers need to receive regular updates on recent advances in the field of nephrology.  Case presentations, research updates, and topic-specific lectures will serve as an impetus for discussion of the latest breakthroughs in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of kidney diseases.  The aim of the series is to expand clinical knowledge, disseminate current best clinical practices, foster greater collaboration among practitioners at all levels, enhance the quality of nephrology care, and improve patient outcomes.

Educational methods will include lectures.

Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

• Identify new evidence-based research findings that can be incorporated into clinical practice.
• Evaluate innovative technologies and therapies aimed at the diagnosis and management of kidney diseases.
• Review and apply current clinical guidelines to improve the care of patients with kidney disease.
• Foster greater communication and collaboration among all healthcare professionals in the field of nephrology.

Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
