Target Audience and Needs

Physicians, residents, fellows, and medical students involved in the care of patients with neurological diseases need to receive regular updates on new advances and emerging evidence in the field of neurology.  Challenging cases that cover all aspects of neurological practice will be used as an impetus for discussion of evidence-based guidelines and treatments and the need for equitable care among diverse populations.  The aim of the series is to expand clinical knowledge, enhance the quality of neurological care, and improve patient outcomes.


Educational Methods

Educational methods will include lectures and case presentations.


Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Utilize evidence-based practice guidelines and standards relevant to the field of neurology.
  • Improve patient care through discussion and evaluation of clinical cases in neurology.
  • Identify cost-effective options by reviewing the pros and cons of specific treatments based on practice outcomes.
  • Evaluate safety data, patient-centered data, and cost base to optimize patient care.
  • Recognize opportunities to overcome system challenges to improve patient outcomes.

Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
