Target Audience
This activity is designed for primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents, and medical students.
Needs Statement

Primary care providers need accessible, up-to-date education that bridges gaps in clinical knowledge and practice, especially regarding evolving evidence-based guidelines, diagnostic accuracy, and best practices. To address these needs, educational activities should offer interactive, case-based learning and simulations, facilitate the application of new knowledge to patient care, and foster confidence in clinical decision-making. Incorporating specialist insights and multiple exposures to content ensures providers can avoid outdated treatments, stay aligned with current standards, and improve patient outcomes, all while minimizing barriers such as time, cost, and practice coverage.

Educational Methods

Educational methods will include lectures.

Objectives

At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:

  • Review up-to-date, evidence-based information on medical conditions, diagnostics, and treatments.
  • Apply updated evidence-based clinical guidelines in daily practice.
  • Improve patient care, safety, satisfaction, and health by integrating new knowledge and skills into clinical workflows.

Evaluation

Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
