Target Audience and Needs
Physicians, clinical researchers, residents, fellows, medical students, and other healthcare professionals involved in health services research need to be regularly updated on new scientific evidence in the field. This series aims to foster professional development, to increase learner competency, and to improve healthcare access, quality, and safety.
Educational Methods
Educational methods will include lectures, case presentations, and literature review.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:
- Develop new measures and novel analytic approaches to assess healthcare quality at the individual, facility, and population health levels.
- Identify and implement current best practices in the field of health services research.
- Recognize how health services research can improve patient safety, treatment efficacy, and patient outcomes.
- Develop pragmatic approaches for measure and improvement of diagnostic safety.
Evaluation
Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
