Target Audience and Needs
Physicians, residents, fellows, medical students, and other healthcare providers need to be regularly updated with new research and guidelines relating to pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. This series will provide a multi-disciplinary approach to aid the evaluation and management of patients with pulmonary and sleep disorders. The goal is to apply evidence-based research findings to enhance the quality of patient care and improve patient outcomes.
Educational Methods
Educational methods will include lectures, case presentations, and research presentations.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the sessions, the participants should be able to:
- Analyze recently released clinical practice guideline recommendations for implementation into practice.
- Interpret the latest data in basic, translational, and clinical research as it pertains to common pulmonary, critical care, and sleep disorders.
- Develop diagnostic and treatment approaches for pulmonary, critical care, and sleep disorders.
- Apply new treatment modalities in clinical practice.
Evaluation
Participants may be asked to complete a session evaluation.
